COURSE OVERVIEW
Prime CPR Services offers the American Heart Association's HEARTSAVER FIRST AID CPR AED RENEWAL class. This class is taught by experienced firefighters and paramedics. This class equips individuals with the skills and knowledge to respond to a wide range of emergencies. This course is specifically designed for individuals who are not healthcare providers but may need to provide aid in emergency situations.
After completing this course, students will be awarded an American Heart Assocation certification card that will remain valid for a period of 2 years. This course covers:

First Aid Basics: Gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in providing immediate care during emergency situations. Learn how to assess the scene, check for responsiveness, and perform primary and secondary assessments. Master fundamental principles and techniques that are vital for effective first aid response.

Medical Emergencies: Acquire the ability to recognize and effectively manage various medical emergencies that may arise. Enhance your understanding of conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, diabetic emergencies, seizures, allergic reactions, and respiratory problems. Injury Emergencies: Develop expertise in identifying and providing necessary treatment for different types of injuries. Learn techniques for bleeding control, wound care, burns, fractures, sprains, and strains. Acquire the skills needed to address injuries promptly and effectively, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the injured individuals.

Environmental Emergencies: Learn how to handle heat-related illnesses, hypothermia, and poisoning incidents. Acquire the knowledge and skills to assess the situation, mitigate risks, and provide appropriate care in environmental emergency scenarios.

Adult CPR and AED: Become proficient in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on adults. Learn the proper techniques for administering chest compressions, rescue breaths, and utilizing automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Gain confidence in responding to cardiac arrest situations and providing life-saving interventions.

Child and Infant CPR: Develop specialized CPR skills for children and infants. Understand the unique considerations and modifications required when performing CPR on younger individuals.
