COURSE OVERVIEW
Prime CPR Services offers the American Heart Association HEARTSAVER CPR AED course, ensuring that acquiring CPR and AED proficiency becomes an enjoyable and uncomplicated experience. This unique training equips you with the abilities to effectively assist an individual facing a critical emergency. Enhance your understanding while making a difference in preserving lives!
The Heartsaver CPR AED course is designed for Non - Healthcare Providers including teachers, school employees, coaches, girl scouts and lay persons to render aid and perform CPR on cardiac arrest patients. This class teaches skills using the AHA’s research proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows Instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ acquisition of skills. This classroom course includes the lecture and skills. There is not a written test for this course.
The Heartsaver CPR AED course includes the following for adults, children and infants:
- Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
- Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
- Recognize when someone needs CPR
- Perform high-quality CPR
- Describe how to perform CPR with help from others
- Give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask
- Demonstrate how to use an AED
- Perform high-quality CPR
- Demonstrate how to use an AED
- Perform high-quality CPR
- Describe when and how to help a choking victim
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency procedure which is attempted in an effort to return life to a person in cardiac arrest. It is indicated in those who are unresponsive with no breathing or only gasps. It may be attempted both in and outside of a hospital.
Upon successful completion, students receive a Heartsaver course certification card, valid for 2 years.
